Where Is Israel?

The understanding and meaning of the word Israel is important. The bible speaks with symbolism meanings and one must dig in and study to show themselves approved. Most people understand Israel to be a place or location at the east end of the Mediterranean Sea. True, that is the exact location where the tribes of Israel (including the Levites) were located. At one time, Israel consisted of 12 tribes. These tribes developed through generations and their authorities and blessings were handed down by their fathers as approved by God.

Abram meaning (father of height or high father) was called of God and he reverenced and obeyed his mighty creator. Abram married Sarai and for years she was barren. During those years Abram approached Hagar, Sarai's slave  and Hagar bare a son to  Abram whom he called Ishmael. Thirty plus years later when he was in his late nineties, God said to Abram, "Your name shall be Abraham for a father of many nations have I made for thee". As for Sarai your wife, you shall not call your wife Sarai any longer. Sarah shall her name be and I will bless her and give you a son also of her and she shall be a mother of nations". Abraham fell on his face an laughed asking how a hundred year old man and his wife Sarah, being ninety, could bare a child. And Abraham cried out to God, O that Ishmael might live before thee! And God said, "Sarah thy wife shall bear thee a son indeed; and thou shall call his name Isaac: and I will establish my covenant with him for an everlasting covenant, and his seed after him. And as for Ishmael, I have heard thee: Behold, I have blessed him, and will make him fruitful and will multiply him exceedingly and make him a great nation. But, my covenant will I establish with Isaac, which Sarah shall bear unto thee at this time in the next year". There, we see the everlasting covenant which  Abraham had with God was going to be established, by God, on Isaac and his seed after him.

Now to Isaac was born Esau and Jacob. Again, the everlasting covenant of God was established not to Esau the first born, but to Jacob. The situation was a bite different for Esau sold His birthright to Jacob. Years later Jacob did reconcile with Esau. During that same period  Jacob was left alone one night and there wrestled a man with him until the breaking of the day. When the man saw that he had not prevailed against him, he touched the hollow of his thigh, and the hollow of Jacob's thigh was out of joint as he wrestled with him.  And the man said, let me go, for the day breaks. And Jacob said, I will not let thee go, except thou bless me. And the man said to him, What is your name? And he said, Jacob. And the man said, Thy name shall be called no more Jacob, but Israel: for as a prince hast thou power with God and with men and hast prevailed. The name Israel means, "He fights or persists with God.

In both the above cases both Ishmael and Esau left the land of their fathers and eventually became known as the Edomites and much later in years became known as the Amalekites and eventually the Idumeans. We'll come back to the the Amalekites and Idumeans later.

Jacob had many sons, one of which was named Joseph, whom Jacob favored. Angered by this, Joseph's brothers sold him into slavery and lied to their father Jacob. With God's hand upon Joseph, he went from being a slave in Egypt to being the right hand of the Pharaoh. The tribes of Jacob, now known as the tribes of Israel, were going through a time of famine. Seeking food, Jacob sent his sons, except Benjamin, to Egypt. Joseph discovering his brothers requested the entire family, including Jacob, come into Egypt, which they did. While in Egypt they were called the children of Israel. Before the death of Jacob, the everlasting covenant of God that was passed to Jacob was passed on to Joseph. During Joseph's lifetime, he married and had two sons, Ephraim and Manasseh, whom Jacob loved and adopted them into the tribe of Israel, having also the everlasting covenant directed to Joseph's sons. After exiting Egypt, they were known as the children of Israel in the wilderness. There were 12 tribes plus the Levites. When coming out of the wilderness they came to the land known as the promised land and became known as Israel in the promised land. This area is the same location which most folks think of when referring to Israel today.

While in this new land, the tribes of Israel decided they wanted a man king like the other nations. When God heard of their request he said they really didn't want to go that route and turn from God, their king and creator. But, they said, "yes we do". So God said O.K and provided them with rules whereby man must abide in order to properly look after and provide for His people and one another. Each year leading up to this point the hearts of mankind continually acted wickedly. For decades following their decision the conditions continually got worse. A point was reached when the tribes of Israel split apart. The people of the tribe of Judah and tribe of Benjamin, plus the Levites became known as the House of Judah. The other ten tribes were known as the House of Israel.  At approximately 722BC, the king of Assyria took the House of Israel captive and carried them away into Assyria and placed them in Halah and in Habor by the river of Gozan and in the cities of the Medes. The captured House of Israel became the so-called Lost Tribes of Israel(II Kings 17:6-18 and 18:11-12. Also, II Kings 15:29.)

The Northern Kingdom, being the House of Israel had continued for years in wickedness and vanity whereby God dismissed them from his sight and given her a bill of divorce and allowed Assyria to take into captivity. Yet, her treacherous sister Judah feared not, but went and played the harlot, for scripture states that they continued in sin even more than the House of Israel. (Jer.3:6-11) As a result we find several invasions and captures whereby the majority of the House of Judah was carried away captive to Assyria and Jerusalem was destroyed.. Some of the House of Judah remained in the area and others went to Egypt were worse off than those  who were taken to Babylon. (Jer. 24)

During those years that both Israel and Judah were in captivity the kings of Assyria brought hundreds of thousands of Assyrians and other people repopulated into the territories previously held by the House of Israel and the House of Judah. These peoples who replaced the Israelites in the land became known as the Samaritans, as they were called in the time of Christ. At this point in history all seemed lost for the people of Israel. What happened to the everlasting covenants and the unconditional promises that God made to Abraham, Isaac, Jacob, Ephraim and Manasseh (Joseph). History shows they never returned. During these years of captivity the Amalekites and Idumeans wandered into these same territories and co-mingled with the Assyrians.

By 679B.C., groups of the Lost Tribes of Israel began escaping and wandering away from their original "promised land" and into the lands now known as Russia, Greece, France, Germany, Europe, Ireland, Scotland, and England. Some of the names we may have studied in history, depending on your age, that refer to different Lost tribe movement were Celtics, Galatians, Scythians. In France they were the Basques and in England translated to Bretons. Also around the Baltic sea were were the Goths and in England Anglo Saxon. These are just some of the names which can be traced all the way to the arrival of Jesus, 4 B.C. and beyond. With this historical information, it has traced the movement of the Lost Tribes of Israel into Europe and the British Isles and beyond clearly making it known that they have not disappeared into thin air but have continued on through hundreds of generations. We'll come back to this point shortly when we describing the movement of the Christian church.

The Babylonian captivity of the House of Judah lasted 70 years. When Judah was allowed to return to their homeland, they were still under Persian rule and approximately 42,000 returned to Jerusalem (Neh.7:66), rebuilt the temple and set up the nation later to be called the nation of the Jews. There were over one and a half million in captivity. As tribes of the House of Israel broke away and escaped ,so did many of the House of Judah and wandered away as the Israelites.  Remember, the territory was populated not only with Assyrians and others but also the Edomites, Amalekites and Idumeans. King Herod filled the ranks of the Sadducees with his own kind. This mixed remnant of Judah became known as the nation of Edomite Jews. For the most part this remnant of Judah remained a subject people of the succession of powerful nations. In Jeremiah we find God showing the prophet how He separated the bad figs (mixed seed) from the good figs of Judah who were to be Christian people. (Jer. 24:7,24:9)

The leadership living in Judea during the time of Jesus Christ, composed primarily of Edomite Jews. (Sadducees and Pharisees) Christ had these strong words to say, " ye are of your father the devil [deceiver], and the lusts of your father ye will do. He was a murderer from the beginning, and abode not in truth, because there is no truth in him. When he speaketh a lie, he speaketh of his own; for he is a liar, and a father of it. And because I tell you the truth, ye believe me not. Which of you convicteth me of sin? And if I say the truth, why do ye not believe me? he that is God hearth God's words: ye therefore hear them not, because ye are not of God." (John 10:26-30)

"But ye believe not, because ye are not of my sheep, as I said unto you. My sheep hear my voice, and I know them, and they follow me: And I give unto them eternal life, and they shall never perish, neither shall any man pluck them out of my hand. My father, which gave them to me, is greater than all; and no man is able to pluck them out of my father's hand. I and my father are one." (John 10:26-30)

John, recording God's Word in Revelation, writes, "and I know the blasphemy of them which say are Jews , [0f Judah] and are not, but are the synagogue of Satan." (Rev. 2:9) Also, "Behold, I will make them a synagogue of Satan, which say they are Jews, [0f Judah] and are not, but do lie; behold I will make them to come and worship before thy feet, and to know that I have loved thee. (Rev.3:9)

Jesus sent forth the twelve disciples commanding them, saying, "Go not into the way of the gentiles, and into any  city of the Samaritans enter ye not: But go rather to the lost sheep of the house of Israel. And as ye go, preach, saying, The kingdom of heaven is at hand".

So, we can honestly and truthfully make it clear that History is Relevant. The tribes of Israel are not lost and they have been heading towards the "Promised Land" and are presently in the "Promised Land." We can say that it appears over the years that the scattered people of Judah have found Israel and have co-mingled with them. We know that Paul and others traveled into Greece, France, Germany, Europe and also Ireland and England. Is it possible he would take those journeys just for the ride? No, history was known then of the wanderings ,and the disciples set out to fulfill the commands of Jesus. The majority of the church today believe Israel is lost and we the church are the replacement. They believe that the current nation of Israel are the Jews, when in fact, the term Jew, as has been proven above, has become a misconceived production. Once again, the term Jew did not exist until a Judah  remnant returned and mixed in with a variety of people. These people became known as the Edomite Jews. Also, once again, the Edomites mingled, prior to the return of the remnant of Judah, and were known as Amalekites and then Idumeans. You will be surprised to see how these folks are affecting and controlling the world today and how the Relavance of History brings it all together. Information on these giants will be coming soon. They are a big subject in "Reality of Truth" Affecting the Heart, Mind and Soul. I've continued to dig and have been shown  with clarity through History and the Bible what is truly taking place here in these United States and worldwide. Reality of Truth is not wrong, but I'm able to see so much deeper into the past, into the current day and into the future.

More coming soon, but keep digging.

This is just the beginning.

Please return often!
