Leading Up To......

        THE LAST DAYS

The bible continually reveals all of what God wants from His people. It also shows us how time after time the people continue to turn from God but His mercy and greatness bring them through as they seek Him when in trouble. Thank God that He is such a loving God. Even though He is always there and continues to teach, the people, the church, have become a weakened state. They have settled in complacency with self satisfaction accompanied by unawareness of actual danger or deficiencies. The church is anemic with the power of the blood of Jesus sucked from them. The hunger and the thirst for the fullness of Christ is cut off. The countrymen and the clergy are not thankful. The gifts given to the church, the ingredients of the body and the joy of harvest are destroyed. It seems the church is truly a minority, that God is not with it. Commitment is stifled and growth is non-existent. The gifts and spiritual power given for the church are withered, because the joy is withered away from the sons of men. What a sad state of affairs, yet, that is exactly what is described in the first chapter of Joel. Yet, God continues to teach by calling together the gathering of people of faith. He says to cry out, ye people of God for the hunger and the thirst is withheld from the house of God. Sanctify a fast, call a solemn assembly, gather the people of faith with purpose, repent, and cry unto the Lord. This is the condition of the church as a result of all years leading up to the last days. Alas for the day of the Lord is at hand. The hunger is cut off, the storehouses are desolate, the body is withered and there is hell on earth. The flocks of sheep, the church, are made desolate for they have no true gathering.

The Reactions to the Desolation

The people cry out to God because of man’s sin. “For though thou wash thee with lye and take much soap, yet thine iniquity is marked before me, saith the Lord God.” Jeremiah 2:22. You profess to be mine, you say the right thing at the right time, you look the part, but, you do not desire to be pure. All that seek their own way will not weary, yet, those who despise iniquity will become weary, yet not weary for God. Those of iniquity look for riches and self serving fulfillment. But, they that wait upon the Lord shall renew their strength, they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run and not be weary; and they shall walk and not faint. Isaiah 40:31. The people of faith with purpose are to bind together, hope in God and their faith will rise to the level of God. The time is now, we are in the last days.
