Manifestations of God
It is truly amazing how and when God provides insight unto His people. He may provide through a vision that takes years to unfold. He may speak His word and it comes to pass almost immediately. He may provide groups and varieties of visions and words over a period of time. He may provide scriptures that blend with a vision or word, but, they do not provide the entire picture. These visions and words may only begin to piece together over time as one continues in faith seeking to know their full purpose in Him. So, don't give up. Continue to seek His truth and purpose for your life through His righteousness.
Jesus Lifting Up
This manifestation occurred just after Easter week in 1985. My family and myself were going through very trying times. I had given my heart to the Lord a little over a year prior to this time. During Easter week, I was filled with the Holy Spirit with evidence of speaking in tongues. Even through all the turmoil in our lives at that time, that Easter week was a testimony in itself and brought great glory to God.
I was home alone, sitting in the living room, studying Gods word. I was continually seeking His will for my life and answers to the situations that we were going through. I was crying out to the Lord, desperately wanting relief from all the frustrations and situations, knowing I had nowhere else to turn. I was sitting on the sofa with my hands stretched up to heaven. Tears were streaming from my eyes even though they were closed and my heart had given all in search of answers from heaven.
In an instant, I felt something going around my sides and behind me. There was a pressure onto my body from behind and I was being lifted up from the sofa and being pulled forward. My hands and arms went from their upright position to a hugging position. My eyes opened, my face was cheek to cheek with another face which I could not see. All that I could see were beautiful locks of brown hair and the right side of a head. As I was being embraced, there was a smell so clean and fresh coming from the hair that it could not be described other than cleanliness and freshness. Within the entire situation, I knew that I was being hugged by Jesus Himself. I had cried out to heaven and he responded. He proved to me that He cares for all those who cry out to Him.
