The Garden
About a month after the hug from Jesus, (see Jesus Lifting Up) I received the following vision.
One afternoon I was worshipping God with my eyes closed. There appeared a very bright, white light. It seemed so bright that it should have hurt my eyes, but, with its brilliance it was soothing and soft. ( I know of no other way to describe it) Then, as if to be floating back in the air, this brilliant white light became a beautiful white petal flower. It was as if I had a pictured close up of this flower. Immediately thereafter, this same flower focused from a greater distance away became many flowers that were actually in a garden. Immediately, from a greater distance out, possibly out into space, the garden was quite different. The beauty of the garden took on a new look, it was different and disappointing. It was not the same, for there were withered and dead plants (flowers) amongst them. The large beautiful flower and bouquet of flowers were now actually like young white sprigs or sprouts popping out and beginning to or trying to flourish amongst a withered garden with dead plants and branches.The main message that was revealed and was entered into my being was that God was disappointed and wanted the dead and withered cleared away so that the young could grow and flourish. Although I accepted this for what it was, I continually sought scripture to reveal its meaning. Several months later I found in the book of Isaiah chapter 17 verse 10 and 11 the following, "Because thou hast forgotten the God of thy salvation, and hast not been mindful of the rock of thy strength, therefore shalt thou plant pleasant plants, and shall set it with strange slips: In the day shalt thou make thy plant to grow, and in the morning shalt thou make thy seed to flourish: but the harvest shall be a heap in the day of grief and desperate sorrow.
Through research I found that these (pleasant plants) could be in reference to Adonis gardens whose plants represented the death and resurrection facet of heathen worship. With this information, the Lord revealed it to me this way..... When people are down and out and they have nowhere else to turn, they turn to me. I, even I love them regardless of their continued ways that are contrary to my ways, and I take care of them. They then quickly forget about me when their problem is solved, until the next time, at which time they come to me again. I am the only place that they can get true answers. Truly, that is heathen worship.
