The World of Yesterday in the World of Today!

Pentecost, a term that is used widely in many church circles today, yet, a term that is very widely misunderstood or misinterpreted. Pentecost, is a word that has been in the world for a thousand years before the coming of Jesus Christ. Yet, more people today, relate to the day of pentecost as that day, after Jesus Christ had ascended into heaven, in which the people received power from on high. But, to fully understand Pentecost and to eliminate any misinterpretations, one must learn and be aware of its' history. The belief in the day of Pentecost and its results has brought about another related term, Pentecostal. This word also, is widely misunderstood and /or misinterpreted. Often times, it is thought of as a negative by much of the so called church world today. The main negative was created due to the varying viewpoints concerning what took place on that day of Pentecost, referring to the baptism of the Holy Spirit with evidence of speaking in tongues.

Pentecost is very important to every church that believes in the purpose of Jesus Christ, regardless of denomination, because "the day of Pentecost" as we know it, was the birth of the church. Unfortunately, the misunderstandings and misinterpretations, have placed upon the church restrictions, thus disabling them from fulfilling the true provision. As you learn of the history of Pentecost and understand its full impact on that day, you'll have a new set of eyes that will allow you to observe continual warnings throughout Gods' word concerning His commands and expectations of the church. There are other histories in the world of yesterday that affect the world of today. The knowledge and understanding of this history will provide a special learning relationship with the Holy Spirit providing additional warnings that are a blessing and a stimulus allowing effective impact of the fullness of God "on that day", whereby His children will be operating in the fullness of the spirit.
